Clionas Foundation Families meet Munster Rugby Players.

Clionas Foundation families got the pleasure to meet their heroes, the Munster Rugby team, during a training session at the University of Limerick. Joy Neville, an ambassador for Cliona’s Foundation and Former Ireland rugby captain, reached out to the Munster team to meet with the families and they were more than happy to do so.

The five families spent time with the Munster team after their training in UL where they got autographs signed and their pictures taking with their favourite players. One of those families was Tony and Pauline Wallace and their son Eoghan, who was born two months premature and has chronic lung disease, was delighted to see the lads from the Munster team. They even got a picture with rugby legend, Paul O’ Connell which can be seen above.

Members of the Munster team are no strangers when it comes to showing their support to respectable charities and community events. Keith Earls showed his support to Lisa’s Light, an anti-suicide campaign which lit up the Thomond bridge during the night. Paul O’ Connell also gave a hand on Good Friday cleaning up the streets for Team Limerick Clean-up. Over ten thousand people came out to help clean up the streets.

Cliona’s Foundation, being another amazing charity that the Munster players have showed their support too, offers financial support to kids with critical illnesses. This financial aid does not go towards medical care itself but towards the hidden cost when it comes to the kids receiving treatment.
