Join the Irish Chamber Orchestra’s Sing Out with Strings programme as it celebrates its 7th birthday in true party style with a Magic Carpet high-speed journey, stopping off in a range of colourful countries along the way.

The Irish Chamber Orchestra, along with a 300-strong Sing Out With Strings team and guests artists take to the stage for this unique celebration on Wednesday June 17 @ 12 noon at UCH, Limerick.

The Magic Carpet celebrates 70 Years of the United Nations as 300 children citywide perform traditional and original multi-cultural compositions. Fast paced, these kids present an imaginative toe-tapping musical journey around the world featuring comedy and high drama. The Magic Carpet embraces worldwide cultures with brand new musical works from faraway lands, from Africa to the Americas, from India to Russia, across Europe and beyond. Working with ICO facilitators, pupils as young as four have composed these works and are fastening their seat belts to share their Magic Carpet adventure.
