Listen up all you sports fanatics in Limerick, McGettigans Limerick are hosting a Q&A night with none other than professional football player Jason McAteer on Wednesday May 25 at 8pm.

The highly proclaimed Centre Midfield player will be answering all your questions in McGettigans bar alongside your host for the evening, comedian Eric Lalor of JOE.IE.

Jason will be answering question about his career, as he played for five professional clubs, Bolton Wanderers, Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland and finally Tranmere Rovers, as well as winning over 50 international caps for the Republic of Ireland.

Speaking about the upcoming McGettigan’s event, footballer Jason McAteer said, “I’m excited to get back to Ireland for a few days to chat about the summer of football we have ahead. I’ll be hitting Limerick and stopping off at the Aviva stadium in Dublin with the FAI for Ireland v Holland on May 27. International weekends in Ireland still hold a massive place in my heart and the buzz this summer will be unbelievable. When it comes to supporting the boys in green, we have the best fans in theworld.”

If that doesn’t entice you to pop in then there’s more! Every Wednesday in McGettigans is Burger night where you can pick a burger of your choice with will be served with skinny fries, salad and a pint of your choice for just €15.00. So while you have the glorious Jason McAteer in front of your eyes you’ll also be able to chow down on some really delicious food!

This is set to be a really amazing event that you do not want to miss out on! On the night of the Q&A, McGettigans have also decided to celebrate Euro2016 by doing a giveaway draw for 2 x tickets to see Republic of Ireland in France! To enter the draw to win the tickets on the night all you can to do is buy a drink or a meal and your receipt with your name on the back of it will go into the draw! So the more you can drink the better the chance you have of winning those golden tickets.
