Thomond Park was the hub of economic prosperity for mid-west businesses last Friday as business people from all over the region attended the Colm O’Brien Motivation seminar ‘Take-Off’.

SME business owners, senior managers and self-employed people from the wider Limerick area attended the conference hosted by businessman and entrepreneur Colm O’Brien. The one-day conference offered people an insight into the tools and tactics Colm used to build his current successful business, Carambola Kidz.

Following the event, Colm said that the commitment of the business people attending to growing their respective businesses is “a great sign for things to come in the region”.

“The greatest success of the day, in my opinion, was seeing all these successful business people in their own right, learn how to take their business another step forward. And then, making a commitment to doing so. The region is going to be a great boost in business in the very near future.”

“We have some very smart and busy business people in Limerick who are doing great work. The seminar in Thomond Park last Friday allowed these same people an opportunity to get out of their hectic schedules and take a deeper look at how they can grow their business in a way that sees them working smarter, not harder.”

“Connecting with other business people and always being open to seeing how your business can grow has been an important key to my success in recent years. Therefore it was important for me that we introduce significant networking opportunities for those who attended. Feedback from those who were there on the day, said that it was one of the highlights for many. This was also the feedback we got from our previous event in March. It’s great to know that at our seminars people are not only getting an opportunity to learn how to make significant gains in their business but also getting to meet with other great business people who may be able to help them. That’s empowering economic change in the region and that’s a huge success from the day.”

Colm O’Brien is the owner of Carambola Kidz, a successful nationwide business delivering 23,000 school lunches every morning based in Annacotty. The company employs over 100 people and supports a further 80 jobs.
