After the Massive success of L.AID in February  and with Summer fast approaching  Dj Shelly is delighted to announce that on Saturday April 16 from 9 pm L.AID RETURNS to The Orchard Courtyard / Bar and Crush 87. This time L.AID promises to be bigger than ever with music s on the night by national and local Djs. Illusionist Steve Spade will attempt escaping from a straight night jacket on the night, while fire breathers will also perform.

Local DJ Michelle O’Riordan organised the first ever club night fundraiser for Corbett Suicide Prevention Patrol, L.AID (Limerick AID) this past February, which  raised enough funds to put 3 new volunteers on the bridges of Limerick for CSPP (Corbett Suicide Prevention Patrol) .

The CSPP is a Limerick based suicide prevention group reformed in 2012 who patrol between the four bridges in the Limerick city area. The group’s main focus is to keep eyes on the river, and identify and provide support to those in distress and maybe contemplating suicide.

This whole effort is down to the people of Limerick, DJs and music enthusiasts who will once again be providing the entertainment on the night. L.AID will be more enabled to spread information and awareness with every donation kindly received on entry and also collections made throughout the night. People are be encouraged to use Facebook spreading the event and spreading suicide awareness and the message it is preventable.

However there are still 20 CSPP volunteers needing safety gear for the bridges. Limerick Aid is aiming to raise more funds for this much needed equipment and people power to fight this cause. Limerick AID is created and ran by Limerick people for Limerick people to spread awareness of suicide, our goal is to prevent suicide. Limerick DJs provide the electric dance music atmosphere, Kelly Richards Printers provide the posters, local artist Ken Coleman provides the artwork, The Orchard provides the venue and Limerick people provide the soul for this fundraising event.

Once again all money raised will be going towards Suicide Prevention Patrol (CSPP).
