AMCS Aid Dóchas with New Equipment as Part of CSR Project

AMCS have chosen to partner with Dóchas, an Autism Support Service in the Limerick area for their 2017 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project.

On Friday 19th of May, AMCS employees attended the Dόchas centre in Limerick city to paint rooms incorporating the brand new Dόchas logo as well as providing state of the art audio visual equipment for the centre. The audiovisual equipment will have a multifunctional purpose, allowing service users to watch movies and secondly to facilitate Dόchas employees when receiving training.

Dόchas is an awareness and information centre for Autism serving the Mid-West Region and currently supports 435 families. Located in Parnell Street Limerick, Dόchas offer information and support to members; social clubs to children and young people with Autism.

Pamela Downes, Administrator of the Group said: “AMCS contacted us just before Christmas to let us know that they wanted to help us for their Corporate Responsibility Project. They volunteered to paint our rooms where the social clubs meet with our new logo and they were also very happy to donate top of the range AV equipment to us.”

She continued: “This equipment will allow us to have movie nights for families and will also help with our in-house training. We are extremely grateful to everyone at AMCS to give their time, to give their talents and to give support to a small group like us.”

Clodagh Murray, CSR officer at AMCS commented “We are absolutely delighted to be able to support such a well deserving local charity like Dόchas. I am extremely proud of AMCS’ talented pool of employees who have dedicated hours of both the company’s time and their own time to support this fantastic initiative for Dόchas”.
