Limerick Printmakers is proud to host the second Limerick Printmakers Curatorial Award exhibition from the Belltable on 69 O’ Connell street. 

‘Soft’, curated by bursary recipient Luke Donnelly will open from 6 pm on Tuesday 21st February. All are welcome and ‘Soft’ will continue until Saturday 4th March inclusive. The exhibition features work by Hue Hale, Billy Lingwood, Daire O’ Shea & Jake Casey, and Aaron Smyth.

‘Manliness’ –
On the one hand inherent to the construction of a performed gender, on the other a dirty sullen word, that encapsulates the gender biased crumbling of a social narrative. 
In an age of progressing social visibility of gender and sexuality, this notion of the masculine, the codes of the ‘default man’ are being hemmed and readjusted, the knuckles of man are being forced to be picked up from generations of being dragged heavily on the ground and the wounds exposed and examined.

Limerick Printmakers is committed to supporting artists and creators at every level of their career in a range of tangible and practical ways. The LP Curatorial Award is one of three bursaries that include an exhibition within the prize.
