Last year, Limerick hosted 118 events in 76 different locations which drew an approximate audience of about 18,500 people.

Culture Night is always a great night and offers a great opportunity for the Limerick region to showcase the wealth of culture that Limerick has to offer. It is a night to celebrate the cultural, artistic and creative communities of the city and county by inviting existing and new audiences into the many galleries, museums, workshops and studios they have to offer. It is a fantastic evening to get involved in!

An tOireachtas is offering funding support to ensure that there are more Irish language events on the programme this year for Culture Night. They are providing a support package for those interested in organising Irish language events this year.

This Support Package for Culture Night 2017 includes:

  • Irish language posters with space for event details
  • Fund to cover event costs (maximum of €200, depending on funding from the Department)
  • Publicity in national, local and social media

If you are part of a club, organisation or group who would like to organise a Culture Night 2017 event, Limerick Arts Office will be there to support your involvement in this very popular, national initiative. Not only this, all events are free.

The Limerick Arts Office will be issuing forms soon in order for you to register your Culture Night 2017.
