Looking for something different for date night? A team bonding session? Or even just a fun activity to do with friends? Look no further than Escape Limerick. Located at 15 Nicholas Street, this new escape room is an experience for everyone and anyone.
An escape room is a real-life physical puzzle game, where you and your team are locked in a room for one hour. You need to interact with your surroundings and work together to crack clues and solve puzzles so that you figure out your escape before your 60 minutes are up!
Escape Limerick will not be a scary experience, however, there are a few surprises along the way. It is open to all aged over 8 years old and there must be a minimum of two participants
At Escape Limerick, the first part of their mission is to get you thinking outside the box, and interacting with others, from the moment you enter into our escape room experience. Escape Limerick want you to leave behind the distractions of the everyday world and get absorbed by a world of mystery and puzzles until the clock strikes 00:00.
The second part of their mission is to get you engaging with Limerick’s exciting past in an entirely new way by creating escape rooms to complement various eras of the city’s history from the 1200s right up to the 1900s.
There are three different escape room experiences to choose from:
McCourt’s Classroom
It’s 1941 in Limerick City and it’s bucketing rain from the heavens. You and your friends run to take shelter in Leamy’s School. Inside you find that something’s not quite right. You go to leave but it’s too late, the door is locked behind you! You’ve got one hour to escape before the headmaster finds you and you get permanent detention.
Troubled waters
On your journey up the River Shannon towards Limerick, you and your crew have been captured after your galleon ship was attacked by pirates and plundered. You are now locked together on the pirate deck with the rest of the cargo when all of a sudden you hear loud noises and a battle erupt. The pirate ship is now under attack and sinking. You have one hour to escape before the ship sinks and you with it. Don’t forget to grab the treasure that was stolen from you.
King John’s Dungeon
You and your friends had one too many jugs of meade at the Castle Lane Tavern last night and got yourselves arrested for brawling on Nicholas Street. You wake up shackled in the dungeon of King John’s Castle and now you’ve got 60 minutes before the guard returns to figure out how to escape.
Above all else, Escape Limerick want you to be challenged, to have fun & to be itching to come back for more!
