Limerick Choral Union with Sarah Dolan perform Stella Natalis this Dec 4

The Limerick Choral Union with Sarah Dolan is set to return to University Concert Hall this Sunday, December 4 at 8pm for a very special Christmas show Stella Natalis with some amazing featured guests.

Limericks much loved soprano, Sarah Dolan will be making her way back home from the USA to perform with The Choral Union for this unforgettable experience to be enjoyed by all those who attend!

The choir, which consists of 110 highly talented individuals will welcome home Limerick soprano Sarah Dolan for Karl Jenkins’ seasonal favourite Stella Natalis and Song of Song by Patrick Hawes.

The Choral Union is to perform Jenkins’ Exultate Jubilate for the first time and will be directed by none other than Malcolm Green, the Limerick Choral Unions musical director of 21 years.

The show will commence with a short piece from a classic favourite; Mozart’s Laudate Dominium and trumpet player Will Palmer will also perform throughout the show. The Limerick Choral Union with Sarah Dolan.

Sarah began her studies with Karen Mc Carthy in Limerick City and later at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, Ireland, where she received an honours degree in vocal performance and has never looked back since.

Sarah Dolan is a well-established sopranist and has been invited to perform at various locations such as the Irish Embassy in London and the Mansion House of Dublin to perform for the Mayor.

She has previously been awarded the Thomas Moore Vocal Bursary as recognition of her ability in the classical Irish music field. 

The Limerick Choral Union is an oratorio community choir based in the heart of the city. Its aim is to make choral singing enjoyable and rewarding for the singers and the audience alike. Since its foundation in 1964, LCU has maintained its endeavors to encourage new talents into the choir and to continue to perform the best and most exciting choral works to its audience.
