Limerick pride 2016 youth event

Limerick pride 2016 youth event – Limerick Youth Service & GOSHH are teaming up to host Limerick’s First Pride Youth Party at LYS’s Lava Javas Youth Cafe, 5 Lwr Glentworth St, Limerick on Friday, July 15th (5:30-8:30pm). Young people (14-19yrs) from across Limerick & beyond are invited to the event where there will be music, dance, food, screen printing and information stands, while the Lava Javas team will also be preparing for Limerick’s Pride Parade which takes place the following day (Sat, July 16th).

Limerick Youth Service is recognized as a leading provider for of a variety of quality programmes for young people. Limerick Youth Service works in partnership with a number of national and regional organisations including Youth Work Ireland, Solas, Tusla, Limerick & Clare Educational Board, the Department of Justice and Equality,  Youthreach, Limerick City and County Council, the Department of Children and Youth Affairs along with many voluntary and community groups.

Limerick Youth Service supports city and countywide Youth Clubs, Youth Cafés, Youth Projects, Comhairle na nÓg, Garda Youth Diversion Projects, Youth Intervention Programmes, international Youth Work and provides a comprehensive Youth Information Service.

Limerick Youth Service provides second chance and further educational training programmes including Leaving Cert Applied, Employability Skils, Bakery Programme, Contact Centre Operations and a Business Studies for early school leavers at our Youth Resource Centre, Lwr Glentworth St and Nicholas St youth hub.

Pride Youth Party is a celebration of the LGBTI community and all young people, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or race are invited.  A member of Youth Work Ireland, LYS remains committed to supporting and encouraging young people to be active participants in shaping their futures.
