Rory and Mary O’ Donovan are proud owners of O Donovan Productions, Limerick’s leading wedding videographers. The husband and wife duo pride themselves on offering quality service to their customers and have been in business for 18 years, filming their first wedding in 1997, turning what was only a hobby into a full-time profession.

Rory and Mary are extremely passionate about what they do and always want to be sure that the final product is of high quality. They offer a range of services such as sporting events, confirmations, communions, plays, shows and weddings.

Weddings are Rory and Mary’s speciality. Being a married couple they know how important it is that the most important day of your life is captured in the most perfect way possible. They understand how exciting it can be, but also understand how overwhelming it can be when choosing the right professional for the big day. O Donovan Productions can guarantee you that they will capture your wedding day to the highest standard, and make sure that you are more than happy with the final product. Mary tells me,

“Being a married couple ourselves at O’Donovan Productions, we obviously had our own wedding to plan and organise. While we understand what an exciting time it is, we also appreciate how daunting it can be to choose the right venues and professionals to make your day exactly what you want it to be. Thankfully, our wedding day was perfect. Everything went smoothly and everyone enjoyed themselves. Of course the day flew by all too quickly and we couldn’t wait to come home from honeymoon to get our video. We actually called to the videographer’s house on the way home from the airport, we were that impatient!

It was wonderful to relive the day and see so many things we’d missed. It was great to hear the speeches as we could hardly remember what everyone had said. And it was so wonderful to see our guests smiling, laughing, dancing and enjoying themselves thoroughly. After many years of marriage, we still love to watch our day.”

O Donovan Productions have also added a drone to their collection. They are the first production company in Munster to offer a drone to their brides and grooms. This allows for more breathtaking footage to be captured on your wedding day. The sky’s the limit at O’ Donovan Productions!

O Donovan Productions also works with friend and colleague, Richard from I Love Limerick. They have helped I Love Limerick on many projects and still offer their services to date. Richards says that “Rory and Mary O’ Donovan has been an invaluable asset to I Love Limerick since its inception. He has volunteered countless hours in various projects throughout the years from the Special Olympics to Ian’s Trust, Rory and Mary’s dedication to Limerick and its communities is amazing. They are so giving, professional and talented.”

Every year they film the JP McManus All Ireland Scholarships Awards at the University of Limerick and also the Limerick Person of the Year Awards at the Clarion Hotel and the work they do is stellar.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
