The Limerick pride committee are working very hard on this year’s Pride and have been planning since early December. After the success of last year’s ‘Pridefest’ the committee are looking forward to announcing this year’s pride events, which will be a six day long festival in our beautiful Riverside city

“This year we are shaping a festival that will highlight the importance of community in Limerick city”. This year Limerick Pride runs from Tuesday 14th till Sunday 19th of July. The parade will take place on the Saturday 18th and will begin from the City Hall. It is set to be a great day filled with lots of pride colours and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. “We know how important the Cultural aspects of Limerick are and hope to build on these”.

Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transsexual Queer Pride is a global movement that celebrates Gay culture and history by creating an annual carnival atmosphere of events that revolve around a festival Parade. People are encouraged to be visible and express themselves to the wider community. Limerick Pride has been developing yearly since its beginnings in the early 2000’s. Each year the festival grows in scope attracting larger crowds to the city and various events. Limerick Pride Festival as always welcomes our friends, families and the wider Limerick Community to celebrate with us and embrace our motto of Equality, Love, Diversity and Celebration.

Limerick Pride is also looking for people to volunteer throughout the week, see below to contact them directly.
