Limerick Spring brings Speakers Corner to Body and Soul

The Limerick Spring Festival of Politics and Ideas 2017 in collaboration with The Library of Progress are delighted to announce Body&Soul Speakers Corner 2017.

Have your say. Get that great idea out in the open. Have a rant.  Now is your chance to stand up on that soapbox and talk to the masses about topics that inspire, motivate, encourage and enrage you.

The rules are simple: no issue is too big or small for your 5 minutes of fame, everyone gets to have their say without being interrupted (provided what you are saying is within the law…!) and the stage is for seeking common ground, not confrontation. They are looking forward to introducing some infamous ranters to the Library of Progress to celebrate summer solstice & put the world to rights once & for all! Speakers Corner will be held throughout the festival weekend in The Library of Progress, contact details are below for further info or see their Facebook event page.

The Limerick Spring Festival of Politics and Ideas celebrates the role of the citizen in the political life of Limerick. This year’s theme is ‘the State of Us’. With 100 years of perspective, they’ll be asking what the citizens have learned and what left undone since the Proclamation of our Republic. Their programme has everything from film premieres, big debates and an evening of protest music to spoken word, art and comedy events. There is truly something for everyone.
