Niamh will be raffling off Irish Rugby Jersey signed by the 2021 Six Nations Squad and a Limerick GAA Hurling Jersey signed by the 2020 All Ireland winning team

Not only will Niamh be taking part in the event, but she will also put the name of every person who donates to her personal fundraiser into a draw to be in with the chance of winning an Irish Rugby Jersey signed by the 2021 Six Nations Squad and a Limerick GAA Hurling Jersey signed by the 2020 All Ireland winning team.

The 100k in 30 Days challenge took off seven years ago in Blackrock Village Co. Louth. The event started as a community event to create some “healthy competition” amongst locals. However, the event quickly grew and 100km in 30 Days turned into an RTE broadcasted event and raised a total of €1.3m for Breast Cancer Ireland in 2020. The name is self-explanatory, whereby participants complete 100km in 30 days, whether it be by running it walking.

The challenge holds great significance to Niamh, as she herself has amazingly been a survivor of breast cancer for the past seven years.

According to 100km in 30 Days organisers, “The national event is a

fun initiative, aimed at casual strollers, keen walkers, joggers and seasoned runners alike is open to everyone from ages 4-84, and invites participants to walk, jog, run or wheel a total of 100km (or more!) during the month of June to help raise funds for Ireland’s leading breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Ireland. With more than 3600 women and approximately 37 men being diagnosed with breast cancer in Ireland each year, this amazing initiative is more important now than ever and according to Niamh “Anyone can get involved no matter what age, you can walk or run 100k in 30 days in the month of June”.

Speaking on the event, Niamh said, “I will be taking part in an event called a 100k in 30 days taking place on June 1st. It raises vital funds for Breast Cancer Ireland. I am a breast cancer survivor myself and completed the challenge last year. It is open to anyone of any age, you can walk, run or wheel it as long as you complete 100k in the month of June. As an incentive, anyone who donates through my personal link will go into draws to win an Irish Rugby Jersey signed by the 2021 Six Nations Squad and a Limerick GAA Hurling Jersey signed by the 2020 All Ireland winning team. Both would be great keepsakes for any rugby or hurling fan.”

Make sure to become part of the Pink Army this June and join in on the 100km for 30 Days challenge to fight against breast cancer in Ireland!

All of us at I Love Limerick would like to wish Niamh the very best of luck as she takes on the amazing 100km in 30 Days challenge.
