Steve Mahers The Melody is the Message Exhibition has been launched through an award scheme named in tribute to Kieran Meagher and his legacy as an educator. The launch took place at The Church Gallery at Limerick School of Art and Design, on Monday 14 of December.

‘The Kieran Meagher Legacy Award’ was awarded to Steve Maher in 2014, the year that Limerick was the National City of Culture. His resultant solo work, entitled ‘The Melody is the Message’, has now been placed on exhibition at The Church Gallery at Limerick School of Art and Design.

The Melody of the Message was created by Steve Maher to explore creative practice of music. It looks at music beyond its own limitations, and instead focuses on the activity, effects and appreciation music has on the world around it.
