Limerick Pride are excited to announce a great fun Christmas online event, 12 Days of Pridemas will be hosted by Drag Queens Carrie Déway and Elle Uminati who have decided to be bad this Christmas and will be opening the Advent Calendar Live all in one night.

Limerick Pride has a thriving community working together with other organisations to progress gay rights and culture in the city and county. After the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Ireland in 1993, the doors opened quite literally for LGBTQ individuals to celebrate who they were amongst like-minded people, but it wasn’t until 2001 that the first pride event took place in the beautiful city of Limerick and from there nobody has looked back.

This event will be held on Friday, December 18 at 7.30 pm on Limerick Pride’s Facebook. Behind every number will be a fantastic prize for some lucky winner. Very generous local businesses sponsor these 12 amazing prizes and they can be all be won in one night.

These sponsors include businesses such as Dolans, Clayton Hotel, Honey Wild Piercing specialists, McGettigans, Flannerys Bar, and many, many more. This is an event like no other with a live show for everyone to enjoy and take part in opening the Prizes advent calendar, humour, entertainment, prizes, drag performances, and much more!

You can enter the live draw for your chance to win some of these amazing prizes by paying €5 to enter your name once within the draw or pay €10 to have your name entered three times this means you are in with a chance to win more than one of these great prizes which will be listed on their Facebook event page ’12 Days of PRIDE-MAS’.

All money raised from the event will be going towards keeping up the services that Pride Limerick provide to the LGBTQ+ community of Limerick. They provide support to young LGBTQ+ people around Limerick and offer help and acceptance to any within the community of Limerick who needs it.

This is an online event and it will be available to be watched on Facebook LIVE and YouTube.

Host Drag Queen Carrie Deway said, “The event is not like any other and with a fresh new committee we are here to show Limerick that there is love and support from all over the country for Limerick as it is like a second home to myself as well as many other. The 12 Days of Pridemas was brought about to help raise some much-needed funds for Limerick Pride while also promoting Limerick businesses as we know in this current climate supporting locals is more important than ever for the Irish economy. We hope to spread the message of love and acceptance this Christmas while having fun in a feel-good environment! So, open the advent calendar and be welcomed inside the magical world of Limerick Pride.”
