Mr. Brian Cody, the legendary Kilkenny Manager who presented the awards, was totally moved by the occasion “I am privileged to attend many high profile functions across Ireland but I have never attended a function so special. To hear the incredible stories of courage, of unbelievable will to live, of family heartache and fear was a very humbling experience and puts everything into perspective. It was the most joyful honour to be part of this magical evening and any support I can give the fantastic work being done by Share A Dream I will gladly be there for them”

Gary Carroll, father of award winner Sam Carroll “ This weekend was our first time meeting the Share A Dream Team and realised only after moments that Shay is a very special person. What he has been doing for sick children and their families over the last 24 years is truly incredible. It was a pleasure to be part of the weekend and as parents we are so proud of Sam receiving his courage award. These are memories we will never forget and we left the hotel feeling part of a new family”.

“We honour sports, entertainment and media awards etc. it is only right we honour the bravest of the brave and their extraordinary parents through the National Children of Courage Awards” said CEO of Share A Dream, Shay Kinsella.
