Chatting to Suzanne while everyone enjoyed an amazing ‘Afternoon Tea’ she explained what her workshop was about: “So Sue Me workshop is a day to get away for any fashion, fun, beauty-loving girl, I’m going to have loads of them next year starting in January we are back with a bang, we are planning Athlone at the moment, Dublin and we are going to host little workshop vouchers online too. The day is all about blogging, how to get yourself set up and started, how I succeeded, there is a brush demo, tanning demos, beauty demos, fashion shows, fitness talks, everything! There is something in there for everyone whether you are 16 or 50.”

During lunch, Leon Anderson who has been an entertainer for over 20 years and a professional magician for 15 years thoroughly entertained the crowd.

Throughout different stages of the workshop, Sinéad Murphy gave a wonderful makeup demo, while Rob Lipsett delivered an amazingly inspiring fitness talk that everyone loved because it was relatable to women’s fitness.

Suzanne explained that her Limerick fans have always been very supportive: “Limerick is one of the cities that definitely love So Sue Me because when I came here for a book signing or for my last workshop it sold out!”

While Suzanne hadn’t gotten a chance to look around the shops in limerick she said she was looking forward to having a look in Brown Thomas and she had heard about many excellent boutiques.

Suzanne mentioned that her favourite high street shops include: “River Island, Warehouse, Oasis, Zara, typical girl shops, H&M, Penneys.”

Suzanne is an ambassador for Crown Brush UK and has worked on campaigns for Littlewoods and Lil-Lets but when we asked what was her “business baby” she said that nothing compared to releasing her first product under her SO SU range: “My first product on the market under a new brand name is the SO SU polishes they are really my baby that was my first venture. We have them here today, loads of girls are getting their nails done, so that is my baby I am perfecting it all the time and I’m only starting out so I am trying to perfect everything all of the time.”

In some general fashion chat Suzanne mentioned her favourite celebrity styles: “Olivia Palermo, Victoria Beckham, Nicole Scherzinger I love her I think she can do no wrong, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is actually doing a good job and Rita Ora for a different, quirky look now I couldn’t pull it off but she does.”

Suzanne has a lot in the pipeline in her business ventures with a brand new, top-secret product due to be released around Christmas or mid-January. Suzanne kept everyone guessing as to what the new product might be as she said she didn’t want to jinx it!

Suzanne had a night out planned starting with The Savoy & she said she had heard a lot about Nancy Blake’s! The general manager at Da Vincenzo food & wine hall in The George Boutique hotel Altaf Khan was delighted that Suzanne chose to eat at their restaurant: “Suzanne Jackson sold out two workshops in a matter of hours when her tickets went on sale in Limerick. Suzanne and her team ate in da Vincenzo food and wine hall after the workshop on Saturday, she is a regular in da Vincenzo now!”

Part of Suzanne’s workshop explores blogging and some of Suzanne’s top advice included: “Always keep going because you can get disheartened and think you’re not getting past this moment. Network as much as possible, go to events, meet with the PR, meet with the people behind brands, people can then put a face to the blog name. You need a website to be taken seriously because a brand will ask for Google Analytic Stats and if you show them your Instagram they will say you are not a blogger!”

The workshop ran from 11AM to 4PM and the atmosphere in The Savoy Hotel was buzzing with fashionable excitement all day. The bar was opened for a relaxed atmosphere and everyone was encouraged to try the “So Sue Me Bellini” which went down a treat for all of the guests throughout the day.

Suzanne and her team put together a number of hampers with lots of beauty goodies including 20 of her famous SO SU nail polishes which were then raffled off in aid of DSPCA and Dogs Trust Ireland at the end of the event. Suzanne later posted a Facebook status to explain why she chose these charities: “As most of us know, a dog is for life, not just for Christmas! With the Christmas season fast approaching I am urging that people do not buy/get dogs as gifts or toys. Although dogs are so loving, fun and cute, they are tough work too! Almost like a child; Toilet training, feeding, walking, teaching. Not forgetting having to have them minded when you go away & not being able to leave them on their own for too long in the house. There is so much to it, and expense too that people forget! Dog food, puppy pads, veterinary fees, jabs, treats, fleeing, worming tablets.. Grooming! The list is endless!!!”

Suzanne spent time at the end of the workshop to pose for selfies and photographs with anyone who wanted. Everyone who attended the event received a goodie bag worth €75 euro and prizes for best dressed and best Instagram post were also given out during the day.
