Clocks tell the story of a woman who finds herself in a stage of her life whereby she feels really trapped. She desperately wants to make a change but doesn’t know how that is possible, until one night when she makes a terrible mistake. This mistake eventually comes back to bite her. Her mistake was not planned and is a reckless decision that leaves her to face the consequences of her actions.

Teaspach is a theatre and film Company that was formed in 2002 by aspiring Limerick based actors who came together through Centre Stage Theatre School for adults. Teaspach is an Irish word, with no direct translation into English. It means ‘verve’, of a fiery nature, taking chances, a character trait of someone or something to be reckoned with. Teaspach mainly focused on theatre up until now, so this is a new direction for the company. “As a company we have learned so much, making a film is so different to theatre” explained Karen. “We are bursting to do the next film and it is brilliant to be part of a local film festival”. This year marks the 7th year of the Limerick Film Festival, which as the brainchild of LIT lecturer and Festival Director Simon McGuire.

Karen is a founding member of Teaspach Theatre Company and has co-produced and performed in all their productions to date. She was a student of CentreStage Theatre School for 2 years and she also trained with the Gabriel Wallace School of Speech & Drama. Karen is a Licentiate of Trinity College London in performance and teaching and currently teaches Creative Drama and Speech Drama to various community groups in Limerick.

You may know Kevin Kiely’s name and face from past appearances in the Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises and Marc Forster’s World War Z starring Brad Pitt. Kevin was also in a live performance work from Royal de Luxe, he has also been highly involved in Limerick Film and Theatre, and producing at Dance Limerick. After Kevin won a scholarship to The Guildford School of Acting he was extremely successful and picked up The Sean McNamara Award and the Sir Michael Redgrave Award for production and acting work.

A Limerick screening will take place in the coming weeks, further details to be announced.  For further info contact Karen at [email protected].
