The 2024 Brazilian Day in Limerick takes place on Saturday, July 20 from 10am to 5pm, promises to be an exciting cultural event that will immerse the city in the vibrant essence of Brazil.

Brazilian Day in Limerick is presented in collaboration with the  Limerick City and County Council and the Hunt Museum, and is poised to become a landmark celebration of Brazilian culture and community unity.

This year’s event will see Energising Conditioning Training led by Sweat Box to kick off the festivities, an MPB Concert by Matheus Dober, showcasing the soothing sounds of Música Popular Brasileira, and Dynamic Capoeira Dance Act, featuring the mesmerizing movements of this traditional Brazilian martial art.

Also as part of the event will be a Lively Sertanejo Live Performance, a discussion panel looking at “Living Abroad: Challenges and Opportunities”, and a special welcome from the city of Limerick and the Brazilian Ambassador, celebrating cultural exchange and friendship.

A Brazilian Party DJ Presentation will get everyone dancing, followed by a samba live music concert, and a carnaval samba act performance, and the celebration will close with a ceremony to reflect on the shared experiences and joy of the celebration.

The 2024 Brazilian Day in Limerick will transform the iconic Hunt Museum into a dynamic showcase of Brazilian traditions, music, dance, and culinary delights.

This event aims to provide attendees with an unforgettable experience that captures the heart and soul of Brazil, right here in Limerick with capoeira performances, live music and delicious food.

Attendees can anticipate a captivating immersion into Brazilian culture, featuring a dynamic fusion of consulate activities. From pulsating Brazilian rhythms to mesmerising dance performances, guests will be transported to the lively streets of Brazil through a rich tapestry of cultural expressions.
