The event has been a significant fundraiser for local and national charities, raising nearly €40,000 last year.

Participants can link their race sign-up to a personally chosen charity through a dedicated online platform, Give2you, with all proceeds going directly to charity.

Speaking about the event, Race Director John Cleary said, “We’re delighted to launch the 2024 Cook Medical Mini Marathon. The Mini Marathon has gone from strength to strength, and we are very excited about this year’s event, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone of all ages and abilities to take part on Sunday, October 6.”
