Cycle 4 Sick Children, the Limerick-based road cycling club will take to the county’s roads this Sunday, May 19, to raise funds for Mid West School for the Deaf.
C4SC is a Limerick based road cycling club with over 100 members, with a range of organised spins to suit varying levels of fitness from the beginner and leisure group through to the very experienced and long-distance cyclists.
This week’s cycle will start at Raw Cycles in the Delta Retail Park at 9:30am and is 80km in distance.
The 2024 Cycle 4 Sick Children will see the participants make their way out to Bruff, Killmalock and back in via Hosptial and Caherconlish.
The cycle is fully supported by bike marshals and the Red Cross, and a food stop at Bulgaden castle with all proceeds will go to the Mid West School for the Deaf.
Announcing this year’s event, which coincides with Bike Week in Limerick, Cycle 4 Sick Children said on Facebook, “Delighted to announce the charity we will be fundraising for on our Awareness Tour this year on Sunday, May 19th is the MidWest School for the Deaf.
“This local school does great work with children who need an extra helping hand and hopefully with our fundraising, they can help even more. The weather is improving, no excuses to start your training.”
Cycle 4 Sick Children members attend sportives and charity events throughout the midwest and further afield whether it’s in cycling, running, triathlon or adventure race – you will usually find the C4SC jersey there.
