2024 Full Moon Rising Music Festival comes to Kilmeedy on Saturday, September 14th
The 2024 Full Moon Rising Music Festival in Kilmeedy, the third annual community-run music festival, will raise funds for innovative projects in the West Limerick village
Kilmeedy Community Development Group, with the help of a dedicated team of volunteers, is set to light up Kilmeedy village with the 3rd Annual Full Moon Rising Festival on Saturday 14 September at 5.30pm.
Eight musical acts will wow the crowds across two stages, catering to all musical tastes from traditional music to rock, pop and electrifying DJ tunes.
Included in the lineup are a variety of local and national acts such as PopGods bringing their light show of foot-tapping 80s and 90s classics straight from this year’s Electric Picnic, Clio, Generation Radio, North of Fortitude, HighTide, Public Demand, Marion Kelly & Jason Hennessy, and DJ Davin Toomey.
The night of music, fun and food is popular with all age groups; covered seating areas will provide shelter for those who need to take a break from dancing or chat with friends while sampling the culinary treats from the local food vendors who will also be on site.
Festival Goers can choose from two ticket types this year: General Admission at €35 or €50 including 4 free drink tokens. Tickets are available online through Eventbrite or in hardcopy from a variety of outlets in the West Limerick Area. Entry is strictly over 18.
The Full Moon Kids Night will take place on Friday 13 September, the evening before the main event. Always popular with kids and parents alike, this year’s event has a truly unique musical theme along with games, disco, face painting and much more to keep mini festival goers entertained. Further information will be made available on social media channels in the coming weeks.
Kilmeedy Community Development Group is a volunteer-led registered charity that works to improve facilities and amenities in the village. Full Moon Rising is an example of the transformational power of community in the parish of Feenagh Kilmeedy, where volunteers of all ages come together to celebrate for the common good.
The Group operates a number of social enterprises including retail, café, social and recreational activities, Tidy Towns, gardening, meeting and childcare activities. Funds raised from Full Moon Rising will be used to get planning permission to develop the Seven Acre Community Site into a cultural, recreational and enterprise hub benefitting both residents and the wider community.
