Kicking off at The Hurlers on the Dublin Road, making its way through Limerick City and back before finishing at The Hurlers, the event will cater to cyclists of all levels and can be taken at a leisurely pace.

Speaking about the 2024 edition of the charity cycle, group organisers said, “We are delighted that the Limerick Santa Cycle is back for 2024, so why not come and join in the festive fun while helping a local charity which is very close to all our hearts in the Monaleen- Milford areas – Monaleen Cancer Support Group.”

Monaleen Cancer Support Group is a group of local volunteers that help and support individuals and families in Monaleen Parish whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

The group’s aim is to help “our friends and neighbours in some small way”. All dealings with individual/families are strictly private and confidential to the person involved or their representatives and a small inner decision-making committee of three to four who assess each particular application and person’s needs on an individual basis.

In addition to direct assistance, the group conducts presentations by professionals working in the field on issues such as; Cancer awareness, Reducing risk of cancer, Healthy lifestyles, Healthy diet and some leaflets and booklets.

The event organisers took the opportunity to thank those who support the fundraiser, and urged those over 16 years of age to take part, saying, “Please donate and support to such a worthy cause. If you would like to participate in the event register via Eventbrite
