2024 Limerick Summer gigs are set to kick off with Snow Patrol performing their only Irish gig of the year at Thomond Stadium on Friday, July 12.

In what has been an incredibly exciting summer of music for the whole of Ireland, and with music festival season almost upon us, Limerick’s stages are lining up to be graced by some massive names in music.

The summer 2024 concerts are going to kick off in the coming weeks, with Snow Patrol taking to the Thomond Park stage on Friday, July 12, the first of three major acts announced for the venue which has seen some of the biggest names in music play in previous years, but music-lovers in the Mid West will be happy to see music return to the stadium for 2024.

In what will be the band’s only scheduled Irish concert of 2024, Northern Irish-Scottish rock band, Snow Patrol will take to the Limerick stage

Joining Snow Patrol at Thomond Park are the special guests, Kingfishr, the Limerick-based 3-piece has emerged as a significant force in Irish music, and Dublin rockers Pillow Queen, known for their unique blend of indie rock and heartfelt lyricism complete an incredible lineup.

On Saturday, July 13,  Thomond Park is gearing up again for a sensational evening as the renowned Scottish singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini confirms his only Irish date for 2024 with support from Irish singer CMAT and Scottish band Brògeal.

Paolo Nutini will be joined by Limerick bank Kingfishr and Dublin-based Pillow Queens on Saturday, July 13

Closing the Thomond Park summer line-up is Liam Gallagher on Sunday, July 14, a performer who needs no introduction as the former Oasis front man will be supported by Irish folk band who are going from strength to strength, The Mary Wallopers.

Other Limerick venues

For those of us who haven’t gotten our Taylor Swift fix in Dublin, Swiftogeddon comes to Dolan’s Warehouse on Friday, July 12, 2024 which kicks off a great weekend in the much-loved Limerick venue, this is followed by the Limerick Pride Climax Party on Saturday, July 13, capping off an incredibly entertaining weekend.

If you’re looking for something a little different from the stadium gigs, “The Man of Destiny” presented by Goose Chase Theatre & Weird Gravy Theatre comes to The Belltable Theatre. This play by George Bernard Shaw follows the charismatic figure of Napoleon Bonaparte, brilliantly portrayed by a talented cast on Thursday, July 18.

Also at The Belltable, “Upside Down and Underground” presented by Ormston House is a new variety show from the underworld hosted by artists Isadora Epstein and Stéphane Béna Hanly on Saturday, July 20.

Rounding off the summer’s musical offerings, the National Youth Orchestra Summer Proms comes to University Concert Hall on Saturday, July 20. Experience an exciting performance by the top 100 young musicians in Ireland!

There is something for every music or theatre lover this summer in Limerick City from the big stage at Thomond Park to the more intimate setting of The Belltable; and the best thing is you can still pick up tickets to see any (or all of) the acts playing in Limerick this Summer.
