Organised by Humanli and supported by Limerick City and County Council, the event aims to raise mental health awareness while giving a platform to local artists.

Founder of Humanli and organiser of the event, Karl Daly explained the event was originally created to support young artists and promote positive mental health.

Karl said, “We created the event back in 2018 to support young artists, promote positive mental health and create awareness. Limerick has huge musical talent and we encourage support for the event from the public and the business community.”

This will be the sixth edition of Music for Mental Health and through its previous five editions, Humanli has raised close to €100,000 for Limerick charities.

Looking back at the first event, Mr Daly noted, “Our first gig had Noel Hogan on stage and in a bizarre twist that weekend Dolores passed away in London, so we have been keeping the event going ever since. It was initially planned as a one-off.”

Mr Daly highlighted the recording being made on the night, saying the Limerick public are welcome to join the event.

He said, “The show is being recorded in full on the night, so we are welcoming the Limerick public to join us. This will be a special and unique experience for everyone that comes along.”

Raging Sons, Keith Walsh, Joyce Zacks & Band and Stray Saints will also perform at the Dolan’s event, which will start at 8pm and tickets are limited and priced at €15.
