Brazilian Day Festival returns to Limerick for its third edition on Saturday, August 30, bringing the sounds and vibrant spirit of Brazil to the streets of Limerick, with this year’s festival being hosted at the Hunt Museum Garden running from 10 am to 5 pm.
The community-led initiative, which was originally established in collaboration with the Brazilian Embassy and is now coordinated by the Honorary Consulate of Brazil in Limerick, aims to strengthen cultural ties, support local entrepreneurship, and celebrate the growing Brazilian community in Ireland.
Following the success of previous editions, which attracted more than 4,000 attendees, this year’s festival promises a rich programme including live music and dance performances; a curated exhibitor fair featuring local businesses and artisans; a roundtable discussion on health and cancer challenges in Ireland; activities for families and children; and traditional Brazilian food and cultural showcases.
The Brazilian Day Festival is proudly supported by the Brazilian Embassy in Ireland and Mary Immaculate College, reinforcing its role as a bridge between communities and cultures.
“The Brazilian Day Festival is a unique celebration of culture, connection, and community,” said Leticia Bastos, Honorary Consul of Brazil in Limerick and Clare.
She added, “We are honoured to welcome the support of our partners and to provide a space where our community can come together and be seen.”
The event is free and open to the public and will run from 10 am to 5 pm at the Hunt Museum Garden on Saturday, August 30.
