The 2025 Castleconnell Autumn Concert Series programme unveils an eclectic mix of classical music

Limerick City and County Council is proud to unveil an exciting and eclectic programme for this year’s Castleconnell Autumn Concert Series, continuing the tradition of bringing world-class classical music to local audiences in a unique and intimate setting.
Presented by RTÉ Lyric FM and Opera Workshop’s Shirley Keane, from All Saints Church, this year’s diverse offering promises to delight.
The series will open on August 26th when John Walsh, David Power, and Marja Gaynor will perform a programme featuring their own arrangements of traditional Irish tunes, Flamenco and Contemporary music, as well as music from the Baroque period and the 19th century.
Beth McNinch (viola,) known for her ability to craft compelling programmes that balance classical favourites with lesser-known gems and Lance Coburn(piano), who has been the recipient of many first prizes, including the Hephizibah Menuhin Scholarship, the inaugural Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition and the Australian Young Performers’ Award, will delight in September.
October presents Ailbhe McDonagh and John O’ Connor with works from Beethoven to Schumann, while Solas Quartet will close out the season in November.
Mayor of Limerick, John Moran commented, “This event is a cherished part of our cultural calendar in Limerick and as always, it’ll be a celebration of creativity, community and connection.
