2025 Milford Care Centre service of remembrance and thanksgiving set for June 15
Milford Care Centre is to host its 2025 service of remembrance and thanksgiving on June 15 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Castletroy

Milford Care Centre is inviting the community to its annual service of remembrance and thanksgiving which will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Castletroy, on Sunday, June 15 from 3pm.
The event is open to the public and invites everyone regardless of their faith to honour the memory of those who passed away under the care of Milford Care Centre.
The service provides an opportunity for families and friends to come together in shared remembrance. In recognition of the personal journeys of grief, attendees are invited to bring a stone from home or a meaningful place, write their loved one’s name on it for the ceremony.
Organisers said, “We invite families to bring along a stone either from your home, or a place that holds a special significance to you and your loved one. We invite you to write your loved one’s name on it. During the service a representative from each family will have an opportunity to place the stone on the altar.
“Alternatively, you may wish to do this after the service finishes. These stones will be placed beneath the altar at Christmas and again at the foot of the Easter cross next year here at Milford. Subsequently, they will be relocated around our ‘Light up a Memory Tree’.”
The annual service is a reflection of Milford Care Centre’s commitment to compassion, dignity, and their connection made with the local community.
Milford Care Centre is a Little Company of Mary healthcare facility and
aims to provide the highest quality of care to patients or residents, family and friends, both in the areas of Palliative Care and Services to the Older Person, as envisaged by Venerable Mary Potter.
