The 2025 Na Piarsaigh GAA 5km & 10km fundraiser is set for Sunday, September 21
Na Piarsaigh GAA is calling on the community to support their 2025 5km & 10km fundraiser, which will be a “super day” for the club

This year’s Na Piarsaigh GAA 5km & 10km road race, which helps raise funds for the development of the north-side Limerick City GAA club, is set to take place on September 21.
The club are calling on the local community and supporters to lace up their running shoes in support of the club for what will be a “super day” raising funds for the future development of the club.
Whether you are seeking a competitive chip timed race on a new, flat course or you are happy to take part in our fun run or walk, there will be a place for everybody on the day.
Sharing information about the event, the club said on a social media post, “This will be a super day for our club, so all members, friends, your work colleagues, sports and social groups, and anyone interested in running or walking are welcome. Please share with family, friends and our wider community.
“All funds raised will go towards the ongoing growth and development of Na Piarsaigh Club.”
Deeply rooted in its community, the club organises a variety of social and fundraising events—and this year they’re hosting a 5 km and 10 km run on Sunday, September 21st, open to runners and walkers of all levels.
In 2024, the club held a highly successful fundraiser which saw club members and supporters abseil from Thomond Park Stadium. Fundraising, similar to the Thomond Park abseil and the 5k & 10k, is crucial for maintaining these facilities and keeping them to the highest standard, with constant maintenance required to keep the facilities in prime condition.
Na Piarsaigh GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club on the north side of Limerick City, founded in January 1968 to serve the growing communities of Caherdavin and environs.
As one of only four dual senior clubs in Limerick, Na Piarsaigh fields three adult hurling teams (Senior, Intermediate & Junior) and two football teams (Senior & Junior)—the most of any club in the county—and has lifted the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship trophy eight times, most recently in 2023
