Limerick soprano, Eve Stafford has been elected as new president of Network Ireland Limerick for 2025

Eve Stafford, a leading Limerick soprano is set to take on the role of Network Ireland Limerick for 2025, taking over from outgoing president, Fiona Doyle.
Members of Network Limerick, a non-profit, voluntary organisation that is one of 17 branches made up of more than 1,000 members across Ireland, elected Eve Stafford as the 2025 president.
Outgoing president, Fiona Doyle welcomed Eve as president for 2025 following the 2024 Network Limerick President’s Dinner at the Strand Hotel which marked the end of her term.
Fiona said, “As my year as President of Network Ireland Limerick comes to a close, I’m filled with gratitude and pride for everything we’ve achieved together. From inspiring events to meaningful connections, this year has been a true celebration of all we have accomplished as a network over the years. It’s been about empowering, uplifting, and supporting one another – a testament to the incredible power of women supporting women.”
The outgoing president took the opportunity to highlight the work Network Limerick had with their chosen charity for 2024, Féileacáin, which gave the group the opportunity to raise awareness “for this wonderful and important cause”.
Ms Doyle, a personal stylist based in Mungret, welcomed Eve to the role, saying, “Here’s to the continued success of Network Ireland Limerick and to a bright, thriving 2025. I’d like to wish Network Ireland Limerick’s incoming President, Eve Stafford and vice president Barbara MacCarthy and the committee all the best in their roles.”
The President’s Dinner evening featured an address by historian Dr Úna Ní Bhroiméil, who reflected on the evolving role of women in society, drawing on her extensive research, Dr Ní Bhroiméil explored the strides women have made and the importance of continued efforts to create an inclusive future.
Reflecting on the year, Fiona said, “This year has been an unforgettable journey. Together, we have built a supportive community that inspires, uplifts, and empowers each of us to reach new heights.”
She also emphasised the importance of collaboration and friendship within the network. “The connections we’ve formed and the support we’ve offered one another have been truly heartwarming. Thank you to our members, sponsors, and committee for making this year such a success.”
The President’s Dinner was a fitting celebration of the network’s achievements and a testament to the power of women supporting women. As Fiona hands over the chains to Vice President Eve Stafford, she expressed her excitement for the bright future of Network Ireland Limerick and the opportunities that lie ahead under Eve’s capable leadership.
