Dolans, the iconic music venue in Limerick City has been recognised once again as one of the best venues in Munster and Ireland following their success at the 2026 IMRO Live Music Awards.

The award recognition follows an exciting period for the venue who has announced a blockbuster set of gigs at King John’s Castle, the return of the much-loved Docklands Festival, and the new Live at the Spiegeltent Pavilion scheduled for November 2026.

The IMRO award adds to the recent Limerick Person of the Year lifetime achievement award that the family received for their contribution to music and nightlife in Limerick over more than three decades.

“We are delighted to win Munster venue of the year tonight at the imro live music awards,” Dolans said on social media following the announcement, they continued, “Thanks to all our staff, musicians and tech crew. Thanks to all our loyal customers who come Dolans and continue to support live music. Thank you”

The IMRO Live Music Awards celebrate the venues, festivals, promoters and technical crews that support and sustain Ireland’s live music ecosystem.

Established by IMRO in 2009, the Awards recognise the businesses and teams that provide vital platforms for live music across the island of Ireland. From grassroots venues and regional festivals to the promoters and technical crews behind the scenes, the Awards acknowledge the dedication and professionalism required to bring live music to audiences night after night.

The 2026 award win adds to Dolans recent success at the IMRO Live Music Awards having won the accolade in 2023 and 2024, and cements the venue’s status as a premier destination for punters from near and far.
