The organisers said, “We are back with our annual Street dance and Hip-Hop festival in Limerick city, which marks their 5th edition, showcasing Street Dance and Hip-Hop artists nationally and internationally.

“This event is held across multiple locations around the city over a weekend. The events are broken into sessions and promise to have something for everyone, including family-friendly and wheelchair accessible events. Most of the events are free as we want to make it accessible to all and also to showcase our local and national artists.”

The festival opens on Thursday, March 26, at Hook & Ladder with a free launch and conversations with Limerick’s Hip Hop and street dance pioneers, hosted by State Your Flow at 9 pm. Friday offers a family-friendly Beat Makers “Cookout” at AfroDelight from 5 to 7 pm and DJ Turntablism Cypher hosted by Community Scratch Games & Downbeat Records at Wickham Way from 7 to 9:30 pm.

Event venues include The Commercial, The Record Room, The Church at Dance Limerick, Wickham Way, Afro Delight, Hook & Ladder, Dry Lane Studios, and The Crescent Shopping Centre.

Saturday’s highlights include the Top 8 Street Dance Battle with Cyphers at The Crescent Shopping Centre from 12 to 4 pm and finals at The Church, Dance Limerick from 7 to 9 pm, followed by a Festival Closing Party at The Record Room from 10 pm.
