The qualification process for the 2027 European Ryder Cup Team has been confirmed, beginning at the 2026 Husqvarna British Masters at The Belfry

Ryder Cup Europe has announced the qualification process for the 2027 European Ryder Cup team will begin at this month’s Husqvarna British Masters Hosted by Sir Nick Faldo, which takes place at The Belfry from August 27-30.

Eligible DP World Tour members will be able to earn Ryder Cup points across a year-long qualification process which will end on Sunday, August 22, 2027, inclusive of both the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR events that week.  

These events will be confirmed when both Tours announce their 2027 schedules later this year.

The leading six players from the Ryder Cup Points list at the conclusion of the process will earn automatic qualification for Team Europe. Captain Luke Donald will then complete his 12-man team by selecting a further six ‘Captain’s Picks’ in the week commencing Monday, August 30, 2027.

Donald said, “The start of qualification is always a notable milestone in the Ryder Cup journey, so I am delighted to today confirm details of our process for the 2027 European Team.

“We have a lot of talented European players at the moment, some with Ryder Cup experience and others who will be trying to qualify for the first time. I am therefore really looking forward to seeing them compete to qualify for Team Europe over the next 12 months.
 
“Next year’s Ryder Cup at Adare Manor promises to be very special for so many different reasons. It will be the 100-year anniversary of the Ryder Cup and we will have the support of the Irish crowds, who are among the best in the world.  Those factors will only add to the motivation of our European players to ensure they are part of it.”
 
Europe will be seeking to win a third consecutive Ryder Cup when they take on the United States at Adare Manor, in Limerick, Ireland, from September 13-19, 2027, following victories at Marco Simone in 2023 and Bethpage Black in 2025.
