The annual music festival, in the heart of Limerick City, is organised by volunteers and friends since 2018. For one weekend, Limerick is transformed into a stage to host emerging and experimental music that truly excites. Organisers believe that music should be accessible to anyone curious enough to seek it out, which is why they keep all events at the festival free. It is a journey and everyone is invited.

National Heritage Week, taking place from Saturday, August 15 to Sunday, August 23, is an initiative by the Heritage Council that celebrates all things heritage. The unique Dancing the Walls of Limerick Festival returns to Old Clare Street on Sunday, August 16 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, bringing together traditional dance, music, local history and is family-friendly. Now in its third year, the festival celebrates both Limerick’s medieval walls and the traditional Irish set dance known as The Walls of Limerick, offering a rare opportunity to quite literally dance the Walls of Limerick on the Walls of Limerick.
