Help ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services make this Christmas a bright one

At ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services, Limerick the motto is ‘Everyone deserves a safe home at Christmas.’

Women and children forced to leave their homes due to domestic abuse will spend this Christmas in emergency accommodation. ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services, Limerick is looking for your support to help these families this festive season.

There are a number of ways you can support these women and their children this Christmas.

You can take part in Christmas Jumper Day for ADAPT by picking any date in December to hold a Christmas Jumper Day in your workplace and letting them know what day you chose. Then wear your finest festive jumper, hat or tie on the day and each person is asked to donate a minimum of €2. For details on how to donate see http://adaptservices.ie/support_adapt/support_text_pages/how_to_donate. You can send your photos to [email protected] and your efforts will be shared on their Facebook page.

Another way you can help this Christmas is by taking part in Secret Santa for ADAPT. Instead of spending your wages on unwanted ‘wacky’ gifts for co-workers this Christmas, why not support the women and children who will get their presents from Santa in emergency accommodation this year? Each person can make a small donation, or become a Secret Santa and buy a gift for a child or mother in ADAPT’s refuges.

Suggested gifts include Toys for boys and girls, Selection boxes, DVDs, pyjamas, underwear, socks, and toiletries.

Gifts can be dropped to the ADAPT Shop on Sarsfield Road in Limerick City, or to ADAPT House, Rosbrien Road, Limerick before 21 December.

Your support will make a difference to the women and children in emergency accommodation with ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services this Christmas.

Let them know if your company would like to hold a Christmas Jumper Day or be a Secret Santa for ADAPT this year – email Lorraine Gallagher at [email protected] or call 061- 412354.

Text REFUGE at 50300 to donate €4 to ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services.
