Adare Manor celebrates their first birthday since reopening

The 5* Adare Manor, recently voted global ‘Hotel of the Year 2018’ at the world-renowned global Virtuoso ‘Best of the Best Awards’, is delighted to be celebrating its first Birthday, since reopening to guests in November 2017 following an extensive restoration, refurbishment and expansion programme over a 21 month period.

Since reopening, the highly experienced team at Adare Manor has enjoyed tremendous success on the world stage, winning awards and accolades both nationally and internationally.  Post the meticulous restoration and expansion of the resort, returning the Manor house and estate to its former splendour, the world-class team has been credited with outstanding personalised customer service and award-winning fine dining on the world stage.  The Golf Course at Adare Manor which reopened in April this year was also redesigned and remodelled by the team led by world-renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio, who set out to ensure the resort with its new unique features takes its place among the finest golf courses in the world, has also received global success, including most recently 2018 winner of Golf Resort of the Year at the IGTOA Irish Golf Awards.

Paul Heery, General Manager at Adare Manor said: “We have come a long way since reopening last November.  It has been an incredible journey and we have enjoyed every minute.  It took a lot of hard work, commitment and determination from our wonderful team. Reflecting on the past twelve months and looking at all the achievements Adare Manor has already seen, and the fabulous reactions the resort receives on a daily basis, locally, nationally and internationally, we look forward with great encouragement to the future.  One of our highlights and most significant achievements of the year was being voted ‘Hotel of the Year 2018’ at the world-renowned global Virtuoso ‘Best of the Best Awards’ and it was with great pride that we brought this worldwide award back to Ireland and Limerick.”

“We have received huge support locally and internationally since we re-opened last year and we would like to thank all the guests who have visited Adare Manor over the past 12 months.  It was a true testament to the commitment and investment into making Adare Manor into the beautiful resort we have here today”.

The restoration works included the addition of a 42-bedroom wing, bringing the total number to 104 bedrooms.  A magnificent ballroom with a capacity for 350 guests was also added, which has since been used for many weddings, large-scale international conferences, such as the recent global Engage! Summits which attracted 250 world leading wedding, event and business industry experts to Ireland, and many Irish events from fashion shows, gala dinners and award ceremonies to intimate and large local and international family gatherings.

The culinary offering at Adare Manor has received many awards and Head Chef Michael Tweedie devises spectacular seasonal menus for The Oak Room, drawn from the Irish landscape.  Every care has been taken to source the highest-quality ingredients from Irish artisan producers, including many local suppliers. The Carriage House Restaurant, Terrace and Bar, located by the Golf Course at Adare Manor is the resort’s more informal dining offering, a place where guests can enjoy an exquisite artisan grill experience in a stylishly relaxed atmosphere, a glamorous cocktail bar and lounge, spacious glazed terrace, cigar lounge and private dining room.  Afternoon Tea in The Gallery is one of Adare Manor’s most popular attractions, which offers both savoury and sweet treats to be enjoyed over a beverage of choice. The dining offerings at Adare Manor are enjoyed by guests staying at Adare Manor, as well as guests from the surrounding area, ideal for romantic dinners, family get-togethers, Christenings, reunions, and everything in between.

The Spa at Adare Manor, Ireland and the UK’s first and only La Mer Spa has won many awards this year and sits within the heart of the Manor. The Spa at Adare Manor comprises of treatment rooms, manicure and pedicure salon, a relaxation area, hair salon, fitness center and indoor pool overlooking the River Maigue.
