The Official Launch of the 2015 Adare to Survive took place early this week at the beautiful back drop of the 4 Star Woodlands House Hotel Adare. This was a fun filled evening with some interesting new concepts announced for the 2015 event.
For the third consecutive year the Adare To Survive team are preparing to welcome over 2,500 competitors to Clonshire Equestrian Centre on 27th September 2015 for a festival atmosphere of military challenges, team building, fundraising & of course great fun. The Adare to survive 7.5km obstacle course provides individuals, small/large groups, sports clubs, charities & corporates the opportunity to gather together to endeavour, endure & enjoy taking part in this annual event.

A fantastic crowd attended the launch evening including Charity Partner Clionas Fountation, members of Limerick City & County, New Sponsors Hook & Ladder & Ginos Ice Cream, to hear of various announcements.
Director of Clionas Foundation Mrs Terry Ring told of her delight to be the chosen charity for the Third Consecutive year and launching the “Purple Platoon”. “I am so excited that Cliona’s Foundation is the chosen charity for Adare to Survive for the third year running. It means so much to the charity to be involved in such a wonderful event and to receive such great support from the community. When you register to join the Purple Platoon a €5.00 donation will be made to Clionas Foundation, so start registering and be part of this great challenge and wonderful day out”

A design called “PEG” by Mr Brain O’ Donnell from Limerick was announced as the Winner of the Adare to Survive Design an Obstacle Competition. The competition was in collaboration between #ATS organisers & EML Architects and the winning obstacle was on display at the Launch. At the Request of the event organisers, Mr O’ Donnell kindly accepted a request to use “PEG” as the obstacle to be associated with Clionas Foundation & the Purple Platoon for the #ATS2015 event. The 2015 Adare to Survive challenge consists of 42 man-made obstacles including climbing, crawling, water to mud & the famous bombs away that went down a treat in 2014.
