Mary Immaculate College (MIC) BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies present All in the Timing by David Ives at the Lime Tree Theatre from 29 April to 1 May

The final year students of the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies at Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Limerick, will present All in the Timing by David Ives at the Lime Tree Theatre from 29 April to 1 May.
Often described as a master of short-form theatre, Ive’s collections of six one-act plays explore themes of language, mortality and human connection through a series of inventive and unexpected scenarios.
From a chance encounter in a café to a reimagining of Leon Trotsky’s assassination, and even a group of chimpanzees attempting to type Shakespeare, the production moves between the absurd and the familiar with wit and precision.

Directed by Limerick woman and well-regarded theatre practitioner, Ann Blake, All in the Timing brings together a range of performance styles, offering audiences an engaging and varied theatrical experience that balances comedy with more reflective moments.
Dr Brian Desmond, Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies at MIC, said, “This production allows our students to engage with a challenging and playful script that really tests their comic timing, acting and ensemble skills they have developed over the past four years.
“The group have approached this production with creativity and a real sense of confidence. It’s a lively and thoughtful piece of theatre, with fun characters and some wacky situations, which audiences will really enjoy.”
Performances will take place at 8 pm nightly from 29 April to 1 May at the Lime Tree Theatre. Tickets can be booked through the Lime Tree Theatre website now.
