Internationally acclaimed poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor, ALOK brings their most intimate show yet, Eat Pray Leave, to Dolans Warehouse on Thursday, July 30.

Limerick audiences will be treated to ALOK’s new show, which is set to feature at the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August. Eat Pray Leave is a comedy about love, heartbreak and the end times.

Their therapist said stop dating projects, so they built one and are charging admission. A journey of self-discovery… and poor decision-making. With razor-sharp wit, ALOK dissects desire, denial and the stories we tell ourselves to keep going. Suffering is universal. It might as well be funny.

ALOK’s literary works “Beyond the Gender Binary,” “Femme in Public,” and “Your Wound, My Garden,” have garnered global recognition. Their dynamic presence has captivated audiences in over 40 countries, with sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Netflix is a Joke Festival.

ALOK’s first comedy special BIOLOGY! was executive produced by Christopher Guest. They are the subject of the docu-short “ALOK” executive produced by Jodie Foster and directed by Alex Hedison, which made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024. On screen, they can also be seen in Complicated Order, The Trans List, and Absolute Dominion (forthcoming). On television, they can be seen on HBO’s Sex Lives of College Girls, Sort Of and Random Acts of Flyness, Hulu’s Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne, and Netflix’s Gender Agenda Comedy Special and Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness.

Special guest on the evening is award-winning comedian, film and Theatre maker from Athlone, Ireland, Allie O’Rourke. She has gigged across Ireland, the UK and the USA, peddling her unique brand of girl d*ck energy.

Allie has performed at festivals such as the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, Paddy Power Comedy Festival, Electric Picnic and the Dublin , Cork and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. She co-wrote and starred in Punchline which premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival and on Virgin Media tv.

Tickets priced at €26 are on sale now for this strictly over-18s event and are available through Dolan’s website.
