Analog Employee Community Awards Scheme supports Munster local charities and groups

Almost 40 non-profit organisations and social enterprise across Munster have received a financial boost thanks to the Analog Devices employee selected community awards scheme announced recently. Milford Hospice, St Gabriel’s, Ahane GAA Club and Limerick Youth Service were among the many Limerick non-profits who have benefited from the programme.

The annual donations that the Analog Employee Community Awards programme enables employees at Analog’s Limerick and Cork sites to nominate their chosen community, voluntary or charitable organisation to receive financial support from the company in recognition for their contribution to the local community.

A broad spectrum of educational, social, charitable and cultural bodies across Limerick, Cork and Clare benefited from the generous Analog Employee Community Awards programme with donations going to local GAA clubs, primary schools, a Men’s shed group, a Sanctuary programme and numerous well-deserved charities.

Leo McHugh, VP – Marketing & Customer Experience, ADI, said, “Arts, community, education and training, environment, health, social care and sport have all benefited from the impact of our Community Relations Programme. We are delighted to be in a position to recognise and support so many worthwhile groups in their endeavours, many of whom are staffed with volunteers from across the community, including employees of ADI. They are the unsung heroes who are making a difference in our communities.”

Contributions were made across four category types; Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.  As a long-standing charity partner of Analog Devices, Milford Hospice received the Platinum donation.

Eight national, regional and local registered charities received Gold and Silver donations.  ADAPT HOUSE, CARI and Pieta House all received gold donations. While Silver went to Cairdeas Respite Centre, Patrickswell, Claire’s Wish Foundation, Cork Arc Cancer Support, Jigsaw, St. Gabriel’s  School & Centre.

The Bronze recipients, 30 in all, included a wide variety of schools, sporting clubs, social enterprises and needy charitable causes based in Limerick, Cork and Clare. [LISTED BELOW]

Site leaders Denis Doyle and Leo McHugh presented cheques to all benefactors at a special reception recently where the respective awardees were hosted by their nominating employee(s).

Denis Doyle, VP & GM – Manufacturing, ADI, said, “So many charities and social enterprises within our community struggle to raise the necessary funding to achieve their goals. We are delighted to give employees the opportunity to have their say on how we distribute our charitable donations. Each of the 39 beneficiaries have been chosen by employees because they or their families and friends either rely on them or they support them through volunteering and fundraising efforts.”
