Following a whirlwind fortnight which saw the B Corp fashion designer record her very first documentary in the clothing landfills of Kenya, summit Kilimanjaro, and then showcasing at her very first Abu Dhabi Fashion Week, Aoife shared her thoughts on the dichotomy between two very different experiences of fashion:

For the first time on this scale, Ireland’s finest creative talents came together in the Middle East to showcase their ingenuity and influence

‘The voices, the faces, the places, they’re stuck with me… The stories of the people I’ve met will stay with me forever, and I’ll do whatever I can to make a difference.’

The Tech Powered Luxury showcase, curated by stylists and visionaries Anne O’Shea and Jess Colivet, and which featured Ireland’s brightest design talents, celebrated the creativity and craftsmanship that has made Irish design a force to be reckoned with globally.

With over 300+ global guests in attendance, including dignitaries, global brand owners, and industry visionaries from across the globe, ‘Live From Abu Dhabi’ was more than an event; it was a statement. For the first time on this scale, Ireland’s finest creative talents came together in the Middle East to showcase their ingenuity and influence on the global stage.

This milestone event underscores the growing global presence of Ireland’s creative minds. For Aoife Mc Namara, it was more than a showcase – it was a reaffirmation of her commitment to sustainable fashion, craftsmanship, and meaningful impact.
