The exhibit showcases 40 Limerick artists from the ArtLimerick community displaying one piece each. It will showcase the breadth of talent and diversity in styles.

John Hellewell, one of the founding members of ArtLimerick, said, “This exhibition is great for local Limerick art, artists, and Limerick people. The People’s Museum of Limerick is a fabulous venue, ArtLimerick is delighted to be exhibiting here. I hope many people visit over the next couple of weeks to see the wonderful art on display.”

William T O’Neill of The Peoples Museum of Limerick, said, “The People’s Museum of Limerick is ecstatic to have such a wonderful blend of artists from all walks of life here to exhibit here with us this year. Their work is diverse, eye-catching, and marvellous to just simply look at. We are so proud to be a part of this group’s work and showcasing it to the citizens and tourists of Limerick and the wider world.”

Formed in 2016, ArtLimerick is a community of almost 100 artists who get together to provide a social network for visual creators within the Limerick area. They paint, draw, take photos, and craft. The community display work locally at various locations around the city and showcase the vast array of beautiful artwork which is available for anyone wishing to purchase local artwork.

All artwork is for sale, with 15% of each sale going to Limerick Civic Trust. Limerick Civic Trust is a self-funding charity, which initiates and undertakes a programme of projects for the general improvement of Limerick’s environment in conjunction with local authorities, state agencies and other interested parties.

The exhibition will be running from Wednesday, October 26 – Monday, November 7, 2022, at the People’s Museum of Limerick. The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday 10 am – 4 pm and Sunday from 12 pm – 4 pm. Contact details for each piece will be displayed beside the artwork.
