Autism Supporting Diversity Ireland will host an inaugural Christmas market this festive season, to raise much-needed funds for the amazing work they carry out in Limerick.

ASD invites all crafters, makers and bakers to run a stall at St. Munchin’s College on November 28 to support a great cause.

So far, the Christmas market will offer delicious coffee, organic foods, cakes, and maybe even a visit from Santa!

Limerick-based ASD Ireland provide autism camps, sibling support groups and play therapy to autistic children, teenagers and their families. The group have also worked tirelessly with local businesses to make Limerick City autism and sensory-friendly.

ASD co-founder Keith Enright told I Love Limerick how the Christmas market came about.

“It’s something that we have always wanted to do, but we didn’t have a suitable venue to do so. While this is our first market, we are now hoping to do it every year,” said Keith.

A €20 donation from each stall will go directly to ASD Ireland. A table and gazebo will also be available to vendors, in exchange for a €70 donation. Each family or visitor will donate €5 upon entry to the market, with additional contributions always welcome.

“We want to invite anyone who would like to showcase their products. We are more than happy to help arrange a stall, and would love to see traders make some sales for themselves as well,” added Keith.
