Athlunkard Boat Club invites the public to a special photography exhibition highlighting the history and story of the Boat Club.

This special event will showcase more than 125 years of the Club’s history and heritage, and above all, the many Limerick people linked to Athlunkard Boat Club across the years.

This photography exhibition will feature over 60 photos, carefully collected and archived over a long period of time, including those donated from the community around the Club and from family members of past Rowers.

Athlunkard Boat Club is one of the oldest and most decorated Rowing Clubs in Limerick and the range of photos tell the story of the many people linked to the Club, spanning from 1899 to the present day, representing over a century of Local and Club history.

The planning for this project has taken place over a number of years and has been facilitated by support from The Heritage Council of Ireland and Limerick Civic Trust, for which the Club Committee is very grateful.
