The Feldenkrais Method is a form of somatic education.  It uses movement and self-awareness to effectively alter detrimental and/or limiting patterns of action, thought and feeling, and to improve the ability to move with freedom and ease in everyday life. The human brain and nervous system have the ability to organically learn and to change patterns of behaviour throughout life. The Feldenkrais Method encourages ease and freedom in everyday movement, improves posture, breathing and coordination and can alleviate muscular tension and pain.

Stephen and Kate teach classes every Monday at 6 pm until 7 pm and Tuesday from 10 am until 11 am. Awareness Through Movement classes are usually done in groups.  Each class consists of verbally guided movement sequences built around a specific theme.  Most lessons take place lying on the floor.  Moving at your own pace and range, in a relaxing environment, you explore how you habitually use your body, and how you can use it in a more integrated way.  This helps you to discover new possibilities of movement, leading to regained effortlessness and ease and reduced tension and pain.
