A talented troupe of 34, drawn from both the golf club and from the local community, are currently practicing their struts and perfecting their practice routines under the expert tutelage of dance maestros Brigid Harte and Trevor De’Hora. Tango, mambo, and samba steps are slickly executed as well as a wide range of other dance numbers. There will be twirls, swirls, glissades, half-moons and hip bumps. The shimmer-shake of sequins and glistening costumes on well-toned bodies will fill the spot-lit dance floor to the accompaniment of vibrant music. Watch out – you’ve been warned!

The General Manager, Liam Lawlor, is enthusiastic about the event and cannot wait for the glamours night to unfold. Mr Lawlor is fulsome in his thanks to all those involved: dancers, supporters, companies and businesses who have sponsored the dancers and those who have taken ads in the programme book, and also to the members who are part of the ticket sales network

In addition to being a superb golfing venue, Ballyneety Golf Club has rapidly become a social hub and focal point for the local community. The management together with all the members are about to achieve what some considered to be “mission impossible” – taking ownership of the whole complex in 2016. Membership growth and fundraising have been continuing at full tilt since late 2013. A tremendous amount of revitalisation has already been achieved and their there is great forward momentum for 2016. Watch this space:
