“I had botox myself and when I saw how effective it was to clear lines on the face, I decided to get into the business. I started with the botox at home and ran a clinic at home for about six months and realised I needed to get a premises in Limerick.” Said Shirley Bennett. “People then started asking me constantly about skin and it’s an area I always been interested in myself. Simply because my two boys have suffered from eczema all their lives so I fully understand the feelings and emotions that go with any problematic skin. I trained as a beautician in 2008, qualified in that and then expanded my business for more beauty treatments.”

Shirley works to make sure Beau Ireland is a results driven clinic “When people come in and they have individual needs and individual problems with skin or with various other things – I want to get the right results for them. Interestingly enough, the same thing doesn’t work for everybody you have to investigate their individual needs and what they want to achieve out of it.”

Using many different products such as the jet peel – which deep cleanses, exfoliates, hydrates and oxygenates the skin, the Derma roller – which is very good for acne scarring, lines, scars or stretch marks, Nimue – a cosmeceutical product which is very good for people with pigmentation issues, problematic skin or people who want to rehydrate their skin, the Georgia-Jane products which are made in Limerick, and more. Women can be assured that they will leave Beau Ireland with the best results.

The rest of the team in Beau Ireland who are all individual businesses are Nicola Hourigan, the resident beautician in Beau Ireland, Sarah Hehir who runs Hair by Sarah hair salon, and Agnieszka Kowalska who runs Beau Ireland Nails – Agnes.

Nicola Hourigan possesses many talents for all things beauty and caters for makeup, threading, waxing, facials and much more. “I work from waxing, threading, facials, bio-slimming wraps and anything else really. For my facials I use the Nimue products, it’s a cosmeceutical product it’s very good for people with pigmentation issues and problematic skin or people who want to rehydrate their skin.”

Nicola also spoke to I Love Limerick about her most popular treatment which is perfect for young adults with problematic skin as a Christmas treat! “My most popular facial would be the glycolic facial – that’s 60 euros it’s a deep exfoliation and its hydrating as well, it’s very popular for people with blackheads and anyone with spots because I extract the blackheads.”

Sarah Hehir, who joined Beau Ireland in June of 2016, uses Alter-Ego products an Italian range of products which produce incredible results. “When I started here in June, I started building my clientele from scratch, slowly but surely with word of mouth and Facebook, I’ve grown from working three days a week to five days a week with people that have returned and new clients. I love working here and that we all compliment each other.”

Look through the Facebook page for Agnieszka Kowalska’s nails from Beau Ireland, you can see how experienced and talented she is. A fresh gel nail set only coming to a total of 35 euros it’s hard to not resist!
