Site-Specific Theatre Comes to Limerick City of Culture
Wednesday 26 November to Saturday 6 December
Written by Tom Swift.  Directed by Louise Lowe

Beautiful Dreamers is a brand new site-specific show by two of Ireland’s leading creators of theatrical experiences and immersive art. This show is a conversation with a city about life, and life’s journey, and will be presented in Limerick in November 2014 as part of Limerick City of Culture.

The show will run three times per night from Wednesday 26 November to Saturday 6 December in a series of secret locations in Limerick city centre. Audio described and sign-language interpreted performances will be available on selected dates.  Tickets priced €15/€12 will be available to purchase online from October 7 at www.beautiful-dreamers.com.

Through interactions with a place and its people, Beautiful Dreamers holds up a mirror to Limerick and reflects back the answers in surprising ways and in unexpected places. It explores what happens when dreams come up against reality. And when all is said and done, it looks at the lessons learned and the things we want to leave behind. (Part of this performance takes place outdoors. Appropriate clothing recommended.)

This ambitious new work, commissioned by Limerick City of Culture, is a collaboration between two of Ireland’s most exciting and innovative arts & entertainment companies ANU and The Performance Corporation. Both companies are masters of site-specific theatrical work, creating award-winning shows and events that take theatre out of its traditional setting and into the streets, homes and buildings of wherever they work, creating transformative events that surprise, provoke and entertain.

“In the hands of The Performance Corporation clearly anything is possible.”
Sunday Business Post

“ANU are responsible for the most searing and innovative works of the past decade”
The Irish Times

ANU’s current production, VARDO,  in Dublin Theatre Festival is completely sold out before the show opened.   Tickets are expected to sell just as fast for BEAUTIFUL DREAMERS.

Audience numbers for each of the performances of Beautiful Dreamers are strictly limited.  Early booking is strongly advised.
Beautiful Dreamers tickets can be purchased in advance from  www.beautiful-dreamers.com
